Interesting medal found with my relatives civil war medals.

The medal reads 52nd conclave indiana grand commandery, warsaw winona 1906, has an image of a crown with red cross through the center. I am unsure of what this is but it was with all my relatives civil war medals and encampment ribbons. Any info would be helpful

I'd guess and say obviously, he headed a veteran's unit of the locals. (The exact meaning of the red cross inserted through the crown?)--Nothing less than a full case of proud American History borne via blood, sweat, and guts. You are lucky to have this saved family chapter of our history. Please take very good care of it.

It's Masonic. Has nothing to do with the Civil War.

It is an ORDER OF KNIGHTS TEMPLAR. Knights Templar are still in existence today in several states. Could be associated with Masons which I think it is. Nothing to do with the Civil War. I found this image in a book on them. Note the close up of the cross image that matches the medal. There is the same medal on the cover of the book. I think the Grand Commander says it all there's no rank of Grant Commander in any military. Is there any more metals that you have Post them
