So I dragged my kids out to the woods the other day in search of new dump spots and shockingly within 5 minutes we found one..... a big one! At first glance I thought this was primarily a 1920s-30s dump site from a bar or tavern because of the hundreds of broken whiskey bottles on the surface but when we went back the next day with proper tools and got a little deeper we started finding turn of the century stuff and my son even found a blob top beer. To be honest, he found all the best bottles that day, but that is fine with me because now he actually wants to go digging with his dorky old dad. This is one that he found. It's a screw top liquor bottle of some kind, but as you can see it is very fancy. We were finding the 1900s and the 1930s stuff at pretty much the same depth so I can't really guestimate based on that. It has a 2 and a 5 on the bottom so I would have thought maybe 1925 but that would put it right smack in the middle of prohibition. Does anyone recognize it? Any info on date or brand would be appreciated.
