Very cool !
Thanks , but I am finding it hard to date it . It could be anywhere from 1760 to 1830. I tried to research the seal and I did find a Abraham Smyth lived at 36 Sackville Street in the 1760s. I haven’t seen to many Irish seals on bottles .

Hi Liam.
You have quite a scarce and desirable bottle there.
-
It is a known bottle and is recorded in David Burton's
'Antique Sealed Bottles 1640-1900 Vol 3 Page 1253.
I have shown its entry below.

From this information I think you could date your bottle with
reasonable confidence to the period between 1811-1820.
-
I hope this helps. Kind regards Colin

:)

Wow, that’s Great news Colin , I posted pics to the National museum of Ireland and they couldn’t furnish me with much information. I work for a Demolition Company in Dublin for the last 34 years and I do salvage lots of artefacts over the years. This bottle has been in my shed for since 1988 when it was dug up in O Connell street which was previously known as Sackville Street. I am Grateful for you assistance and kind help .

Beautiful bottle in exceptional condition. Thanks for sharing it with us. I must add however, that it is more deserving of a place of prominence in your home than being relegated to your shed for years. :)

Thank you for your message, and I now have the bottle on a shelf in my kitchen along with several others that I salvaged over the years.
