hmmmm, this looks pretty good, just a nice day hiking out in the woods with the puppy. After spotting some metal down one rather steep ravine this pleasant picture was presented before my eyes, just the way you see it.

After snapping a pic for prosperity I proceeded to dig it out, and well it was a blob top soda! San Francisco Glass Works, in a beautiful icy teal blue. Unfortunately I do mean it was a blob top, half the lip is missing off the back side. Still looks great on the shelf, I rather like it anyway...

Seems like a dig might be in order. Nice find, hope you get to the mother lode.

Always makes any walk sweeter! That camera thing is a curse Matt, I need to 1. Remember to thank the Great Spirit right away for any find. 2. Start the "Please let it be whole" mantra before even thinking about taking a picture or maybe skip the in situe shot all together. 3. Think positive. 4. Still be thankful that even though it wasn't whole it's still a find on a great day out exploring and its a nice place keeper to remind you of the day!

ah, the bottle was broken before the camera came out, but yes, you gotta thank the bottle gods and enjoy what you get! I could see the bottle wassnt stuffed with dirt and likely whole, so it was safe to pic. To me the biggest curse in bottle digging is talking about the dig before hand... thats why I never say anything when someone posts on here that they are going digging tmr or shares a dig before its over or halfway through... that and boasting are bad bad mojo...!

and never bring a box with dividers... unless you keep it in your truck all the time... if you bring it special for a dig it will go home empty...
