I got 4 privies to check out in a downtown location. Friend owns the site and just bulldozed the lot to fresh black topsoil. I picked this glass up at lunch time today....This stuff was just laying on the ground. Hope find some cool pop bottles and pharmacies. Rick from Kansas

When looking for Privy's I always start with back corners, then work my way across back property line & then up sides of Property lines. if nothing there then you got the whole back yard to probe. Good Luck. LEON.

Not an expert on LR balls, but it doesn't look like one to me. I think they are open at both ends and also, I'm seeing what looks like internal threads in the neck of your piece. Also, thicker than I would expect. Looks like you need to tear up the patch on that property. Looking forward to what you find out there, and best of luck!

Thanks for your response. Property is all open and I've got several months to dig. Going to probe and dowse this weekend. I've dug 6 privies. 2 good ones and 4 marginal one. Here is my first dig.

Good luck on your dig. It's always exciting and you never know what next great thing will be uncovered.

Does not look like any lightning rod ball I have ever seen, sold my collection years ago but never had any with threads. It looks to have a positioning indent on the bottom, perhaps a toilet float, some kind of waterer for a bird cage.

Is this a Georgia Coke? Rain and snow hasn't helped my digging. After the heavy equipment scraped the ground I'm finding good signs of older pops. 4-6 sights on this lot look promising. Last week I found this. Best I can tell its a Vidalia, Georgia Coca Cola bottle. But what would it be doing up here in Kansas? Comments appreciated.
