Is this a milk bottle ??? Odd color ..

Looks like a old milk bottle . Measures approx. 10 1/2 inches tall . But never have seen a purple one . I know some old clear glass will turn purple in the sun light ... is this the case with this one ? Any ideas for me ?? THANKS

I don't think you can really 100% confirm it, but it just looks too modern to be a genuine antique. Look at how shiny it is, it looks like it was made yesterday. The style of bottle doesn't make sense for a polished pontil on the base either, the shape is of a utilitarian pickle bottle but pontils were only polished down on high-end glassware.

Those type bottles always turn up at the Goodwill stores and flea markets. Modern decorator bottle (i.e. Pier One etc)
