Is this a suction scar?

This is from a Department store in Chicago, that opened late 18 hundreds. Haven't been able to find this perfume bottle and trying to date it, the bottom is very smooth, seam might be in the groove but if there is one it stops at the
ring on the neck.

It's not a suction scar, I can't remember what those things are called but you see them on some BIM bottles. Yours is a tooled lip bottle which probably dates to the early 20th century.

The automatic bottle machine started to come in around 1905. This is blown in mold with a tooled lip so it was made the "old" way, putting it to late 1800s early 1900s. The ABM ruled by about 1915 plus or minus in the US. Some places converted fast and some slower.
