Is this an unusual Mason's Root Beer variation?

All the other Mason's I've seen have a yellow square background to the label.

Nice, I don't recall seeing that version, I have two in my collection that are dated in the 1950's that have the square yellow backdrop. Being 1948 it is definitely an earlier version.
