Went out to the garage and grabbed a couple easily reachable things off the (half-buried by junk) bar to show and tell.
The first one is my very first old bottle I ever owned, got it out of my grandparents pile at a family yard sale we were having about 8-10 years ago. My Grams let me just have it, so that was cool. Also got a lil Prince Albert in a can tobacco canister, which was awesome because, well y’know, the old Prince Albert in a can joke, lmao, had to have it. But anyway back to the bottle. I liked it because it was small and definitely old, but once I got looking and saw it said Scranton PA, I had to have it because I have family round there (though other side of family than the grandparents I got it from) and good memories of hanging with them there, so it just seemed right. It says Dr. D.B. Hand on the top also, but I‘ve never researched it. That’s gonna change right today once I finish typing this post though!
The second is this funky looking 7-Up ACL bottle that my husband got from one of his brothers. Obviously someone did something to it, messed with it in high heat or something to give it the weird stretched neck and label, but it sure looks cool, and will be a neat conversation piece once we got the garage cleaned out and the bar set up properly.
The third is a couple little 7oz Gennesee babies. They came out of a camper that was packed absolutely full of junk on my brother-in-laws property when he bought it. Like seriously you opened the little door of this camper to a wall of boxes and bags, had to start pulling stuff out piece by piece and going through it for any goodies, and probably missed a buncha stuff on the days I wasn’t there helping, as bro-in-law is more the type to just get rid of all of it and say screw it. But saved these two. Still got their caps and labels, though no beer!
Anyway, that’s my show and tell for the day! Thanks for listening (looking)
