I just recently got these 2 28 oz Kist bottles. I normally don't collect Kist but couldn't pass these 2 big monsters up. I like the bigger ounce bottles a lot and both of these are from my home state, Michigan. Iron Mountain Mi, in the Upper Peninsula. Both seem to have original contents(but easily recapped at a later time) with original caps PL neck labels. Plus being only 6$ apiece.
Both Owens Illinois bottles. Older one is 1959(my girlfriends birth yr) and the newer one is 1966(my birth yr) I have 3 other Kist bottles in 10 oz older label from Saugatuck Mi., 7oz older label and a 10 oz in the newer label style.

It just seemed odd the left one is marked 12 FL OZS, although I've seen neither in the 28oz size.

Lol, Thanks! Learned something new! Hadn't even considered that two different units of measure would be listed. I don't often come across larger sized bottles from that era.

Interestingly enough (and I know we're talking KIST and not beer) from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pint
"Draft beer in Canada, when advertised as a "pint", is legally required to be 568 ml (20 fluid ounces). With the allowed margin of error of 0.5 fluid ounces, a "pint" that is less than 554 ml of beer is an offence, though—to the detriment of consumers—this regulation is often violated and rarely enforced."

Sorry to stray off topic, beautiful bottles, and I wouldn't mind being able to order KIST in Canada by the pint :)
