I noticed there’s many friends North if the border on this site. Can you help with any info on this labeled whisky please? Early 1900’s based on the seam in the neck and not the label. Thanks.

Nice find! They were quite a large distillery and I used to come across their bottles fairly frequently, although usually not as old as yours. They lasted until at least the 60s. I'd guess that yours dates to around the 1910s-20s or so - our glassmakers were a bit slower to switch over to ABM than than the ones in the US. Yours used to have a glass stopper, which was typical for that style of flask. It would have just been a generic amber stopper like the ones used in Worcestershire sauce bottles so replacements are easy to find.

Thanks! I found one on Etsy they claimed was rare and it was threaded. I didn’t think it was but for $2, Why not take the chance!

Was the threaded one BIM or ABM? I don't remember seeing a BIM threaded one of their bottles before. Actually not sure I remember seeing a threaded BC Distilleries bottle of any type before.

CB: here it is:
I'd forgotten about those, yeah I'm familiar with that design. 30s-40s-ish I think. I definitely wouldn't call it "very rare" but hey for $2 it's hard to go wrong.

The one I got was $2. No idea what they want for this one.

Oh you did great for $2 for that one then! Even though it's probably among the most common companies to find BIM-era labeled Canadian whiskies from, it's still not too easy to find anything labeled from that era.
