Just wondering if a Lafayette script quart jar has any value without the closure? Also I was wondering if they replicated this jar and if so how to tell if it’s fake or genuine? Any help is great. Thx.

All have value but pictures would help determine what jar you have as there were several variations. I personally have never seen a repo of the lafayette jars.

The Lafayette script jars do have value. As usual, it depends on the condition and size. Generally, pints command more than the half gallons, which bring more than the quarts.

Thought I’d throw a picture in so everyone can see the one I’m talking about.

Closures occasionally show up on NAG auctions. You would want the one that looks like a 4 pointed star or a modified sheriff's badge. This photo doesn't show the closure real well, but enough get the idea..
