This is a big one. Looks like a gallon (Next to a quart 1858). Embossed X on bottom. Standard size ball lid. Fruit Jar?

Pickle jars weren't usually amber, so maybe they sold bulk molasses or something like that in it? I'm not sure, but it seems like a product jar to me. Probably had a label on it originally. Someone else correct me if I'm wrong.

I have had two of these in aqua over the years. I have not heard of one in amber prior to this. A very nice find. george
