I picked up this bottle today! “BOTTLED FOR THE HONORABLE LYNDON B JOHNSON VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES”. Here is the best history I was able to find on the bottle: “ 2400 glass bottles (100 cases) were made at Laurens Glass Works, Laurens, South Carolina, then bottled and capped at Canada Dry Bottling Company, San Antonio, Texas. Purportedly, Johnson planned to use these for a Bar-B-Que at his ranch that was in honor of JFK's visit to Texas, but was cancelled due to President Kennedy's assassination. The new President Johnson ordered all the bottles destroyed after they were used. Even though most probably were destroyed, a few survived and are highly desired by bottle collectors today.” This bottle appears is unopened and in really good shape.

That is awesome. I come across a lot of LBJ items in my homestead house, Bicentennial, JFK, presidential memorabilia. I was beginning to think that they had one of every thing that was released in that time frame. But here you have a mint soda with killer color and even the caps great. Thanks for sharing!
