Matt, Chris ( Blade),Chris Rowell, here is a pretty solid time line on the lee incorporation until Noah Ridgely takes over the business.

1-Richard Lee Junior founded Lee & Company with first a store front selling other already established medicines not his own in Baltimore it looks like in 1799. Here is the earliest ad I can find in regards to Richard Lee being in Business............. from the Friday, September 20, 1799 Centinel of Liberty (Georgetown, DC) the following ad was placed by a Company operating out of Georgetown named Dinmore & Francis

2- His business continued with this name until 1809 even though he passed away around May 1st 1806 because according to the Tuesday, May 6, 1806 New-Jersey Journal from (Elizabethtown, NJ) sometime in the week prior to it being published. Richard was living in New York City at the time and he was the New York City Lee mentioned in bottle history. His wife's name being Hannah explains the H Lee Bottle after his death because Hannah was still living in New York City.
Here is the ad.....

3- His wife Hannah took over the reigns of the Business from New York City and along with her son Michael living in Baltimore who was also a merchant selling the Lee wares . Four Months later Hannah ran this lengthy ad explaining her postion as owner of Lees Family Medicine products. She also tells the public about imposters setting up in New York and a letter which was circulating stating she was getting out the medicine business which was completely false. Here is that ad........Hannah Lee informs the public Saturday, August 30, 1806 American and Commercial Daily Advertiser (Baltimore, MD)

4 FORGET some of the historical facts above most are accurate but I just found this ad which really turns the wheel a little more. What a soap opera!!!! Were still dealing with the same family Father Richard,Son Michael in Baltimore and Son Richard and Daughter-in law Hannah in New York City. Richard and Hannah Lee lived in New York and sold the family wares from their storefront.
