Found this beautiful bottle today in our landfill pretty sure it was on a ship....

Haha, I have myself about a dozen of those slick round bottoms; I heard they came over from the U.K. by the boatload back in the day ( the crates of RB's made great ballast for the sailing ships ). Here's a few embossed ones I've found while diving; The R.O.S.S. - Belfast bottle came from a dump area I'd visited many times before ( as had others ) - we thought we'd cleaned it out. But the ROSS must have tumbled out of the sand quite recently, as it was very clean & in mint condition. The Campbell ( Montreal ) came out from under 18" of sawdust ( there were many sawmills in the area operating in the 1800's ). The Cochrane - Belfast was also in the sand, but was still pretty rough, even after a thorough cleaning, so it's heading to the tumbler for a shine-up.
