I hosted a comedy show out of town tonight, so I went a little early to explore the creeks near the venue and just as I got in there was massive lightning within a few hundred feet, so I hightail it out of there and stumble across a bottle base sticking out of the rocks, I was absolutely shocked to pull it out and see a hutch top!
My first hutch in my year+ of bottle hunting experience, it even has a broken stopper (not pictured)
Listed as scarce in the hutch book (the tombstone slug is Rare)

Nice! Hutchinson's are always a welcome surprise. I remember one day I was finding nothing but modern bottles in the mud and then I picked up what just seemed to be another worthless thing when I saw the hutch top. Then I saw a pictorial elk logo and that was the last hutch I found for nearly a year! Funny thing is I had found my first hutch a mere 24 hours before the second, then never again for a year!

Great find! You need to go back out there, in better weather, of course!

Absolutely! The creek was full of China and stoneware sherds as far as I could see, it was so hard to jump out of there even with the lightning lol
