I got this open pontil pickle jar. 6" tall and 2.5" wide. Nice aqua colored whittled glass. This one has a little sickness but no cracks or chips. 4 dots on the bottom. Just a nice jar. I couldn't figure out which pictures to post so I just did a bunch that I liked. Hope you like!

I would say its for sure before 1860s. I love the mold ripple through out the glass! Also those 4 dots, are they a sign if how strong those pickles are? Like a snuff bottle? Or is it a sign that its a condiment? Thanks for posting this bottle Robby

It's braille for "this side down". Lol! No seriously, Dots for the strength, right? I don't know snuff bottles at all. Did snuff come in 4 dot strength? Do all snuff bottles and only snuff bottles have this type of dot markings? Oh Well, If that is true I apologize. I love it either way.

I am so what sure snuff bottles go up to 6 dot for strength, and bottle makers use small holes to relieve pressure but I dont recall the term braille. The dots strength were kinda a joke but wasn't 100% on the dots but I don't collect condiments jars. Thanks for the info Robby

That was a bad blind joke. Braille ( i hope i am spelling this right) is the dots they read. Thanks for the info.
