I get what you're saying.
I like old stuff more than the next guy!

But when it comes to monetary value, DESIRABILITY!
Not dependant on age or rarity...

That's what myself and GaJosh were trying to say. As far as something being worth what someone is willing to pay, it would also be what the owner is willing to accept. The agreed price is what an object is worth to those two individuals at that moment and really nobody else. and at no other time. In an auction with no reserve, the lot is worth the hammer price to the winning bidder, the dropout bid to the underbidder, the second underbidder's dropout bid and so forth. In reality, any one object has as many "values" as there are people on earth when you think about it. Take a rare porcelain doll that sold for say, 1.2 million. I wouldn't give a nickel for it because I don't find dolls desirable (unless I knew I could flip it for a big price). When nosey people ask what something of mine is worth, I ask them, "What would you give for it?" And they say, "I wouldn't give anything for it." I reply, "Well, that's what it's worth as far as you're concerned." Value is like beauty, which lies in the eyes of the beholder.

I get where you're coming from, but somewhat disagree...

The value you place on an object, or will accept, doesn't mean shit.

All that matters are the numbers of serious potential buyers.

I have bought and sold enough to have my mind blown on multiple occasions.

It can be a crap shoot..

Oh, it does mean plenty, but as I said, only to that particular individual, not everybody else. Not to be a prude by any means, but our language here is seen by children as well as adults. Yeah, I know, "They'll hear it on the streets...", but our children will also probably be exposed to meth. Is that okay, too?

OK, I'm going to go at finding a value on this bottle for my friend from a different angle.

I believe at least a few of the members on this forum are planning on going to the Baltimore bottle show this coming Sunday. I have never been to this bottle show but I've heard it is one of the biggest.

I would ask any members attending this show to please keep an eye out for any of these DALY bottles and please take note of the price if they see any, and let us know.

If it is a common bottle, I would expect there to be at least one or two there.

If it's rare , maybe none.

Enjoy the show and thank you in advance.

So, did anyone see any of those common DALY bottles at the Baltimore Show ???

Common or not, cool or not, old or not, it all means nothing monetarily ...
