This one turned up recently and is the first I have had. It is 10 1/4" tall and iron pontilled. Embossed Collet & Son St. Louis Mo.. Now one of the bottles on my bucket list is a pontilled cathedral peppersauce with the same embossing. I know it is a fairly rare bottle and after talking to several St.Louis collectors they are of the consensus it is a sauce of some kind. I find no info on the company and no there are some good researchers here. Cant wait to have this one cleaned, it is full of whittle, my phone pics suck, sorry. Thanks for any info

For size comparison, with two other recent finds, a qt. blackglass ale and a bitters sized cordial.

Hey Doug....Had to go find this post...I read where you said there was a peppersauce out there with this embossing, so logic says food,....BUT....I has a vague Whiskey shape to it?....Cool bottle whatever it is, and the Black glass ale is pretty great too.
Real nice to meet you today, and I hope you have/had a good and safe roadtrip, and a fun dig with Bram.

Found this on in the St. Louis University archives, Not sure if it's him or not but the time line and products kinda fit....... http://libraries.slu.edu/files/docmss17collet.pdf
Collet held
many positions at various employers. In 1845, Collet worked with
John Halsell as book· and stationary vendors, doing business as
Halsell and Collet. Around 1848, Collet worked at a mustard
factory called Western Spice Mills and did business as Collet and
Johnson. The mill caught on fire in 1852. From approximately
1857-1860, Collet worked for T.M. Taylor and Company, (Collet's
sister, Emma Sophia, was married to a Taylor), doing business as
wholesale liquor dealers. In 1869, Collet was fired from his
post as superintendent and manager......
