"M" Pontil Med. Any info?

Hello all, just picked this beautiful open pontil medicine up at the flea market. It is embossed with an "M" on the lower front of the bottle. I found one online with the same mark, and an estimated date of 1860. Alas, no info on the "M" mark. Any experienced pontil collectors recognize this mark as a known glasshouse mark? Just trying to figure out where it was blown and if 1860 seems accurate. Many thanks--Joe

I dont think its a glass house mark , I think it is more likely the proprietors initial.
Hard to say who until someone finds one with a label. Maybe Mitchell or Minor...

Hey Joe,

I've got one of those, I'm very fond of. Dug it in a stealth Saturday morning sneak through the fence at a construction site, in a very old part of town. All of his companions in the exposed layer were pontiled. I'd like to think it may be a wee bit older than 1860, but have no proof.
