Hey, any info on Maine stoneware Bottles? I know a lot of them are “maverick”, meaning they only have the bottlers names stamped into them, but no city or state.

Hoping to find someone with a list or literature on them.

I got a “J.E. Wentworths Ginger Pop” bottle from my uncle when he passed. He was from Eastport and the bottle is believed to be from there. Again, the bottle is a maverick.

Would really like to learn more about these stoneware pop bottles, not only ones from Eastport, but from all over the state. Any info is greatly appreciated!

The J.E. Wentworth bottles are indeed thought to be from Eastport. You might want to pick up David Graci's two books on American Stoneware Bottles.
