Here are some marbles I got in a trade for a double sided porcelain sign that I dug in a dump, Turnbull's Green Mountain Ice Cream, or something like that. The sign was pretty beat up and I had no use for it

PXL_20210706_215847007.jpgPXL_20210706_215722916.jpg. I've been meaning to buy the ID book and become proficient with marble identification but I haven't yet, and marbles seem a lot harder than insulators when it comes to the learning curve. I did email the guy who writes the book a few times, I was excited to learn he lived in CT only a short distance from me. But I never got any replies back so that sort of bummed me out . CT seems to be the insulator expert hot spot as well. So I've had these kicking around for a few years. Anyone see anything that really stands out?PXL_20210706_220406854.jpgPXL_20210706_220416078.jpg

Thanks for looking!

Hey @Fenndango I see so many that have some interest to me and plenty that are common as dust bunnies. I see Alley Agates and Heaton Agates. I see potentially Akro Agates and Peltiers. There are Vitros and Master Mades, it's a nice mix of collectible Mibs.... the question is are they hit and scratched or are they clean and damage free? When you say "the ID guide" ... I'm curious which one you mean because there are sooooo many, Robert Block is definitely one of the most knowledgeable mib experts still around.
Thx for posting and when I have a moment, I'll look closer and post again.

Nice collection of vintage marbles, nothing really stands out but there are a couple worth a second look (top right in your fourth pic, and similar looking one to it's 7 o'clock, middle triangle). Condition is everything. So the German handmade in that group probably isn't worth much in that condition. Thanks for posting
