Can you post images of the base and the top without the lid. See if you can see any company monogram, logo, embossing anywhere because that can help with identifying age.

This website has some info on patent 1858 masons jars

No markings on top or bottom and a porcelain cap inside the over!

Quoting glassbottlemarks.com
"However, vast quantities were produced by well over 100 different glass factories, and many of those have NO identification marks whatsoever, or only a mold number, letter, or emblem on the base. There are MANY, MANY different mold numbers seen, having one, two, or three digits. In those cases it is difficult, if not virtually impossible, to positively identify the actual glassmaker"

I did find information on the cap though

This is RB 2042-1 and in Red Book 9 (2001) booked for $35-40. Not sure what they would go for now. For an aqua quart Mason jar that indicates it is a pretty scarce variation. The scarcity is driven by the III below Mason's. Good jar!

RB 13 (the most recent one) is $55 with free shipping directly from the author. You might get an older version a bit cheaper from eBay or ABE. It's a great resource.
