These are all finds from a dig I conducted yesterday, May 8th 2023.
From left to right:
1. Sharp & Dohme Baltimore Lapactic Pill bottle (hexagonal amber) "prescribed for chronic constipation and atomic dyspepsia".
2. Small Bromo Seltzer.
3. Syrup of Hypophosphites "Fellows" tonic bottle "Employed in cases of osteomalacia, scrofulis, anemia, bone-softening lactation, and as an excellent remedy in acne indurata".
4. Chass J. Voss Pharmacy
5. Nyal Quality (Nyal Castor Oil) amber bottle.
6. Ola Co New York
7. Medium sized Bromo Seltzer
8. Mary T. Goldman St. Paul Minneapolis, hair tonic, for restoring grey hair.
9. Bell-Ans (Wintergreen-flavored patent medicine originally called "Papayans" made by the Bell Chemical Co. from charcoal and other cheap ingredients that claimed to be a cure-all but after a 1914 inquiry was forced by the FDA to tone down these claims).
10. Common slick clear tooled med, no markings.
The hair tonic bottle was the highlight of the day:
