I have a Konjola bottle and wondered who it was on the bottle - was it the company founder?

Looks like it. Gilbert Mosby, sounds like quite a colourful (and not particularly reputable) character. Konjola was one of those alcoholic patent medicines popular during Prohibition. https://www.cincinnatimagazine.com/...ola-king-cincinnatis-prohibition-millionaire/
