Mega throwback from the dump

Yesterday I went back to the dump after a vacation. Needless to say I was sure happy to have endured the cold temperatures to dig this Rumford Chemical Works bottle! The color on this is crazy! Gotta be one of my favorite bottles I have found!
Looks applied top and 3-piece mold maybe?
1870s-1880s?
Weirdest thing about this. The dump is 1920s!

Certainly seems like a very late throw away if it was in a 20s dump. I’m no expert on glass but it looks pretty crude to me.

Looks applied to me, too, but only a two-piece mold. The cup (your example) or post bottom part of the mold is not normally counted. The Rumfords have some pretty colors for sure.

I saw a frigging sample size dug once. I tried to trade it at the dump for some stuff I dug to no avail. Never seen another. I've seen this size and a bigger one. That little sucker was neat. Johnny M.

Apparently the samples are the rarest ones
