Found this Mexican soda bottle in a creek (pacific nw) recently. the small type reads: 'hecho en mexico' on one side, and 'contenido neto 355 ml' on the other. 2 numbers on the bottom: 9 (or 6) and 15. Very cool star pattern all over lower 2/3 of the bottle. I think this bottle would be 50s or 60s which would be in the time frame of where I found it.

I have searched the internet desperately and cannot find a thing about this, not even a picture! Does anyone have info on this bottle?

Wow I'm not surprised you can't find anything on that one, it's hardly a name you can just Google. The M.R. stands for Marca Registrada, which just means trade mark.
I think it's probably quite a recent bottle. Mexico still (or at least did as of a few years ago) uses reusable ACL bottles, and the design of yours lines up with a 70s or 80s ACL from North America. I think the phenomenon of importing Mexican soda to places far from the border doesn't go back too far - maybe to the 90s? So I suspect yours dates to somewhere within the past 30-ish years. If it was sitting in a creek it seems unlikely that the ACL would survive for more than a couple decades as well, if that.

Thank you for your reply! I did note the punctuation of M. R. seemed odd and marca registrada is much more logical. Mystery? Dispelled!

Maybe my grandfather WAS trying to cover his tracks on a shady trash disposal method when he denied recognizing it :O
