I have several variants of the green all dug in Jersey and philly.. this blue one was found in VT not sure who they were ever made for maybe just store bottles..
Great color! I supected mine might be from around Philly. How tall is yours? Mine is 6 3/4". They might have been generic soda bottles. But I suspect there is someone behind the "M" initial. Did the others you see have an initial. I assume the blue one does not have any.
Hello Terry,
I was pleased to see this M glass house identity on this bottle. I have four or five bottles with this same large M on them. My best one is a little Medicine bottle with an open pontil. It is clear glass,.3-7/8†tall with the 7/8ths being the neck with a tooled 1/8†beaded top. The vertical corners have 1/4â€beveled forms. The large “M†is 3/8â€s tall x a “1/2â€width on the top extended embossed flats. Much like on this soda bottle.
There have been a lot of people and places with the letter M in there name. But I guess we may never know who used this letter M on their product identity. RED Matthews
