Mini Blob: Broe & Gorman, Cannington Shaw & Co. Jar, and Hallock's Fruit Extract

Found these bottles over the last 48 hours.

Today's find was a cute mini blob-top bottle for Broe & Gorman.

This tooled-lip Hallock's Pure Fruit Extracts:

And this applied top C. S. & Co. (Cannington Shaw & Co.) jar. From my research this particular jar appears to date from between 1875-1892.

Interesting. A "transitional top" hutch they call it. But would calling it a Hutchinson be describing the style of the bottle itself or the meathod in which it was sealed? Because according to all the sources I can find this bottle didn't use a Hutchinson stopper.

There are a number of bottles on Hutchbook that likely did not take a hutch stopper. If they could plausibly have taken a hutch stopper and they don't have some other closure identifier on them (such as the gravitating stopper embossing on the base), they are typically included on Hutchbook. Better to be inclusive than exclusive; many of the bottles are not documented elsewhere, so good to have them documented on Hutchbook.
