So anyhoo..the last bottle in my collection will serve a multitude of purposes.
I wanted an American paper labeled Pepsi bottle to display my American labels
circ. 1940-45. Bottle with an even odder label is on the way. It may turn out to
be a late 1941 US body label to go with my late 1941 US neck label. Not
glueing these puppies on. They're getting rare like stamps or bank notes.
Bottle is turning out to be a 1952 American twist bottle. Never had one of these!
The label attached could have actually be used up to 1952 on paper label bottles.
The new logo was released in 1951 so it could not have used on bottles after 1951,
or at least until they ran out of stock. BTW... I've been told the bottle may have been
marked 52, but it was actually made in 1951. (I fully read the article sent to me about
Lauren Glass Codes) Thank you!
Found a bunch of extra Canadian labels sets amongst my American labels.
Damn..twist is going wrong direction for Canadian labels...except from 1941
to 1945. Thank you same source for reminding me. My Canadian labels are all from
1941-1945. All three caps I have look identical to Canadian versions, which I don't have
anymore. But for display purposes, this and only this version of the bottle I'm
getting, can display Canadian and US Labels from 1940 to 1945. The twist changes
in Canada and paper labeling stops in 1946. The US continues paper labels in some
rare locations up until about 1952, but not much later. That lets me display the Dossin's
style label that I've itching for lately. Hey, that's not another bottle, dear!
Thanks again my bottle bros (and babes and bots)
