My dairy dig from March/April, finally got back there....

If any body recalls I started digging a dairy in March/April. The old post is now locked. Anywho it was in a swamp, and it is in deed dried out now. I went back today. It was bittersweet. Kind of pissed me off though. There hundreds, maybe thousands of shards lol. I did a lot today but felt like it was nothing. I went to pull a root and heard CRUNCH I stepped on a quart Milk bottle LJ Bouchard Head of Westport, Mass I had been looking for. There is only one whole bottle known in existence. If someone has one I will give them a good chunk of change for it. Anyway I pulled a few whole bottles out, of course no milks. This dump is where the Bouchard dairy was. I'm not done yet and probably need help with it I feel like I'm in over my head lol. I will post pics eventually. :/

That's tragic! I found an exceptional chocolate milk bottle from the '60s the other day. Excited, I pick it up to examine it and boom! It blows up suddenly in my paws.
Better luck next time, man. You deserve it to be so adamant in this hobby that often ends up only throwing the pieces of the past at you--in pieces.
Here's a tip: Bring something that'll take off an inch of the surface soils. The intact stuff tends to be just beneath it, or perhaps as far as a few feet in a waterlogged area. In the end, it's liable to be close to the surface. Takes a bit of doing to sink it further.

The pictures kind of suck. Sorry about that. Didn't realize it till today. The bottle is the one I am looking for and the bottle of dairy of the dump I am digging in.
