Independence Day morning.
Up and out before the sun came up.
Hiked for about 2 hours.
Dug in a dump someone had already dug years ago. After digging maybe an hour and a half this is what I came home with. Sometimes you just have to enjoy the adventure... Roy

That's what happened the last time I hiked to my local place to find something. Came back with a marble after 90 minutes or so of digging around. Bugs were awful. Marble wasn't even in the dump I was digging in, I found it randomly on the way back.

This is the most accurate post I've read in this forum thus far XD

You can't win em all.

Looks like a Vitro Agate marble from the pics. I believe the style is referred to as phantom conquerer. Probably from the 50's. Lots of kids used marbles for slingshot ammo back in the day.

Lol... maybe that would explain all the broken bottles in that dump...
Thanks, I know nothing about marbles except I wish I had been smart enough to save all the ones I had access to as a kid many years ago. Roy
