My recent discoveries

I will be posting my bottle finds here. I mainly search the Yellowstone river in eastern Montana.
I’ll start with a 7-up bottle from ‘53. 7 oz bottled in Thermopolis Wyo. it looks horrible because it was found in a wildfire burn area. It was in four pieces that I glued together with loctite glass glue.
Then just an Olympia can, and Noxzema bottle found in the river.

Awhile ago for work, we had to remove several glass block windows in an old house and replace them with modern vinyl windows. The glass blocks were cemented into place, and the house was brick construction. Some blocks broke and chipped as we tried to chisel them out. I managed to save a handful, mainly because I didn’t want to haul them to the dump.
Cleaned up a few blocks and realized they were made by Hemingray in 1945 or earlier. The 86 means they were made in their factory, after Owens-Illinois purchased Hemingray company.
I only think this is cool because I am a hemingray geek. And I wanted to throw them away.

I've never tried to glue a 7 up bottle that was broken , although I did recently glue a local soda back together . however it was broken in 2 pieces and break rather clean so an easy one to put back together

haven't found any seven up swim bottles in the wild so far in 2021 , although I have found them before in past years

I only glued it because every piece of glass was there, and this bottle was intact before the wildfire. The glass glue is apparently really strong!
