I am on CL, a guy from western mass is advertising some "old" bottles that were from his great aunts estate.
He said his 90 year old aunt had died 5-10 years ago, and she had bought the bottles at the brimfield place when they first started it.
the price was fairly low for the 12 bottles.
I saw pontil marks on the bottoms, there were no seam lines, they looked crude.
When I first got them I thought I had hit a home run.
after I had a few friends look at them. and I learned a great lesson about bottles/reproductions. They are like bottles reproduced at the Jamestown glass house.
Do i try to sell them at the flea market as "reproductions"? They are nice window lookers for a non collector..
