I recently bought this collection of rose bottles from a collector that has been putting this collection together for 15 years. I had the chance to buy the whole collection so I did. When I got them in the mail I was very happy! All were clean and in very good condition. So I went ahead and started with a black paint pen on the embossing and colored in the flowers on each bottle and man do these bottles stand out now! Just thought Id share with everyone. Im looking to add to this collection as well if anyone has any for sale with the flowers. Kenny

Outstanding Kenny. Some folks don't realize how difficult it is to put together such a specialty. You are fortunate to have such a fantastic start. Great job at the coloring but then with your user name it is probably a no brainer for you. Jim

Jim, Thank you and yes I am an artist. My main hobby (passion) is collection indian artifacts and I have collected them for over 20 years now, finding them here in Kansas and Nebraska. In that time I have learned to illustrate artifacts such as arrowheads etc. I have attached a picture of a couple examples I have illustrated of artifacts I have found

That is very interesting and shows how small of a world we really live in. My Father-in-Law grew up near Council Grove, Kansas on a farm and picked up 100s of points while plowing. Some of his Brother's collection hang framed in the Hays House in Council Grove where the entire family is buried. We still have a box of Dad's in our keepsakes and we incorporated one of them in the matting of a painting that hangs in our house. My Dad grew up near Cheany, Kansas.

Great start to a very unique collection. As you probably know, I'm very partial to the druggist bottles and yours are just great. If I could help you with them I would, but I've never seen any of the picture druggists before with the roses. The paint job is marvelous as I know how tedious it is to do that. Have a great day.Dean

Never seen such rose pictorial druggists before, you did magnificent work on them! Also, your "flint illustrations" are superb, has any of your work been published yet? If not it oughta be!

Thanks guys for the comments, also thanks for keeping an eye out. I actually have illustrations published yes. I also have two posters out that I sell at artifacts shows. I have attached a picture below of one of the 24x36 posters I did a while back. Ive also done work for Archeologists as well. The poster I have a picture of below are mainly all artifacts from my collection I have personally found over the years. The poster is a refernce guide of points and knives that are from the central plains region. Kenny

Nice bottles!
Your post reminded me that I have a bottle with an embossed rose too.

The layout looks similar to some of yours, so I wonder if they are from the same maker. Mine has no maker's mark.

I see you have an R.R. HAY from San Francisco. I have one of those in my collection. I've seen one other on ebay which I didn't manage to win. A definite rarity.
