That "2" that SandiR mentioned is certainly there. Score another one for the West Coast archaeologist lady. :)

Here is mine. It has Dominion Bottling Works at the base(From Canada). It's a 7oz bottle. The bottom would indicate that it's quite old. I don't know any other details on it either.

My embossed 7up is a bolder font.

I have one with the label still. This one’s a 1937, 6 1/2 oz. I have a 1936 from northern Michigan with the paper label. The company that became 7up sold a drink called Howdy during the 20’s and what later became 7up was called Bib Lithiated Lemon drink in 1929. The earliest 7up bottle I’ve seen was 1935, I believe. There’s an extensive 7up history by Bill Lockhart, should be in past posts here. Join and search, should be easy to find. 587938BC-B920-41A3-B86D-140491E81E19.jpegDCA2F9FF-329B-4577-8A64-4782E54B2699.jpeg74E28773-F049-4045-877B-E5B36767F5D5.jpeg

Is that plastic that you put over the label? If so, how'd you do it?

It is plastic. It’s just wrapped around the label and taped on the back. The tape touches the glass but not the label of course. This way, it won’t spin or slide up or down. I use the 8x11 page protectors and cut them up. Get the archival ones safe for the old paper.B74B3763-BEC7-49DE-B393-F25900894934.jpeg
