Since we have lots of mystery items lately here’s one more. Two identical 6 inch tall hazel atlas bottles with two line marks about 3/4 up. One has the top mostly intact and two metal tubes inserted, plus a 3rd empty hole on top. Baby bottle, don’t think so, embalming bottle, we saw that a few days ago, looks diff. Hygiene product? Lab equip?
Thoughts? Both have 5677 on one side of heel and C-546 on other side. Bottles seem like 20s or 30s but the cap indicates something earlier.
Anyone come across these before.

Please elaborate, I feel naive or like I’m being set up for something???
Were these used in the back seats of said automobiles?? Or are you being literal like these were brake fluid bottles?

It looks similar to a food bottles I've never seen two tubes that would go in there in a way it looks like an antique pepper grinder but it's doubtful but I have dug a lot of bottles that look like that they was all food bottles

OMG - You guys are good!! I went looking for antique battery info and found a bunch similar but usually much bigger jars, like a mason jar size, but with similar posts etc. Then saw this worthpoint listing and bingo exact same jar. THey are RADIO batteries. Mine have no embossed name like these do, but are identical in shape and config of the terminals and top. Didn't see the year, mine appear to be a little earlier although maybe not.
Here is the pic and the link, great info everyone! THANKS

10 Philcotron B Radio Glass Battery Jar Bottles Electronic Cells B K457 These came out of an old tinkerer's estate.I found this information as I have no idea how these were used for what exactly they were for: These jars were used as rectifiers in a Philco power supply in the 1920's .. Each has two electrodes. There are holes in the top ofeach which were plugged with corks. Some of the corks are present inside the bottle(fell through) Jars are about 6" tall and 1-1/2" square. They have some chemical residue in them. All jars are identical and embossed on the glass with the Philcotron mark and serial #, except one jar, which is the dsame as the other jars, it just has no markings on it. No chips or cracks on the jars. Buyer pays shipping. Minnesota residents add 7.125 sales tax, and Item will not be shipped unless full amount including the tax is paid

I've seen lots of similar Bottles used in old Automobiles. LEON.
The lips on the bottles shown are called CAP SEAT" That type of lip is found on food beverage bottles like a milk bottle. It might been used to measuring liquid too.But it's old timer!
