You wanted 'em TD you got 'em.

Well, I hadn't attended a bottle show in about 10 years. Ebay has kind of spoiled me in that I can buy myself a painted label soda any ole' day of the week. This year the NATIONAL SHOW, that is put on each year by the FOHBC, was being held just 45 minutes from where I live. This was too good to pass up.

The show was about over when I decided to snap a few pics on my cell phone. They aren't great, but they'll give you an idea of the lay out of the show.

It was $60 for early admission, or you could pay $60 and set up at a table. I decided to go the table route. Here is what mine looked like....

I got to meet long time phone friends and forum members fishnuts (Grant) and bottlingco (Marc). Also got to chat with the very knowledgeable celerycola (Dennis).

It was a family affair for me. My Parents stopped by and so did my Uncle Don and Aunt Marion. Forum member jaysemporium sold my Mom her first bottle ever, a New Orleans Hutch.

All in all there weren't a lot of painted label sodas. There were 3 tables total that were dedicated to ACLs and a handful of others who had some on there tables. I did pick up a nice GENIE COLA through a trade and an unusual looking squat KIST from Nichol Kola Bottling Co. - High Point, NC. Ever seen this one before bubbasdad or Osia?

The fellow at the table next to me had some really cool old glass on his table. We got to chatting and he showed me his finds for the day. Before I knew it he had placed some sort of a barrel bitters in my hand. The price tag on it was $6495.00. Wow!

All in all it was a good experience for me. I wound up selling about 20 bottles and met some really great people. [:D]
