Need help identifying antique peroxide bottle

I found this beauty yesterday, July 4, bottle hunting in GTMO.

I think it says “Medicinal Solutions of Cyrozone 3% H2 O2, Nessou Thobbins, New York”.

Perhaps an old hydrogen peroxide bottle? I tried to research it with what I THINK it says, but I believe I’m reading it wrong.

I was so excited to find it!

That's a beauty! You sure recover some dandies down there; and what surprises me is the great condition of so many of your finds. Are you diving for them?

Does the bottle have a smooth, blank panel on at least one side where a (legible ) paper label would have been affixed? Seems to me they got just a little too creative when styling their script lettering, actually making it difficult to read correctly. I thought that I recognized the "...esson" portion of the company name, but not sure that I would have figured it out on my own. RoseOnTheRocks did nice research there!

I did some quick research on the Pyrozone product myself because I did not agree with the "1880's Amber Medicinal Bottle" designation of the worthpoint.com listing--it looked more like 1900's manufacturing to me, which in no way is meant to denigrate the bottle but just provide more accuracy in the identification.

I don’t dive, I do snorkel and find lots of bottles, but most of my bottles come from the shorelines!

This bottle was actually found on the edge of shore, top down, in sand and between rocks. Only the bottom 1/2 was visible.

Yes- the bottle has 2 smooth sides. I 100% agree with you, I felt it was probably a 1900’s bottle as well.

I am so lucky to be able to bottle hunt here. You just never know what GTMO will reveal! It’s so wonderful because the mud and sand do an amazing job of preserving the bottles!

Coastal finds are my favorite! I've had a lot of luck with the mud/sand, but snorkeling & diving will be next! Also, is GTMO Guantanamo Bay?

Yes! Guantanamo Bay Naval Base. Ships have been throwing bottles overboard since Columbus. I’m hoping for a nice summer tropical storm to stir the ocean floors and move bottles around! I love snorkeling and seeing bottles sticking out of the sand!

Good to see you're still active + finding the nice bottles. Was there a lot of barnacles on this one? Btw, McKesson was a successful company with various bottled products. They had a good sized branch in Bridgeport, CT as well.

... I think we'll all be just a little sad when your posting on Cuba ends. Meanwhile, have an excellent time and stay out of trouble.
