I collect antique bottles, mostly Hutchinsons, but some times I'll an odd one I see somewhere. I got lucky and found this at a local Goodwill a year or two back, which is not at all where I would normally look.
I can usually say something about most antique bottles, but this one I admit I really couldn't figure out this time. There are no mold seams that I can see and the paper inside it reads that it was turn-molded. There are bubbles in the glass and the neck is twisted like the old ones are usually. For a size idea it is 4" in diameter and 9 3/4" tall, so rather big. One idea is that it might be a beer bottle.
Just a note, that is dirt you see on it. I have not cleaned it since I've owned it. Means to me it was likely dug up at one time with the dirt and minerals on it.
Any information you could give would be much appreciated. Thank you!
I'd say the person who donated these to Goodwill was also a bottle collector. These were the markings I found attached to it and in the bottle, likely to document it. Too bad I don't know who donated it before.
