I just got into bottle digging. However, i didn't really do any digging yet ( I just collected bottles laying on the top and flipped over a few tires. I found a couple dumps but all the surface bottles i found don't seem that old. I tried digging one today but quickly got discouraged after finding a lot of same non-marked, twist cap bottles. I was wondering if someone could age these bottles and tell me if they think its worth digging deeper.
I was also wondering how, when probing the ground, do u know its good to dig. Do you feel glass breaking through the handle? also, how do you avoid breaking bottles while digging? I was also wondering if there is any diggers located in south eastern pennsylvania that would let me tag along for a day or two to see how a professional digger goes about things.

Hi and welcome. Can you say a little more. I especially like the tall embossed jar but a few others as well. I can't quite make out what they all are from the pictures though.
