Thought it was black glass at first, turns out it is a dark olive amber.
Leon, you are right on the mark! An absolute certainty, there is few true Black glass bottles, except for modern liquor bottles and art glassFrom what I noticed it seems most black glass is not actually black, but just so dark (dark green, dark amber ect., ect,.) that people call it Black Glass because at first it may appear Black until held up to light. LEON.
It's a very nice bottle planeguy2! does it have the pale blue refired graphite pontil or open pontil or smooth gently kicked up base?Thought it was black glass at first, turns out it is a dark olive amber.
Agreed, it certainly a turn-mold, smooth base brandy, bourbon or whiskey/whisky. and probably European, but that's debatable. A nice find.I think it was a turn mold.
