I was searching for bottles at a new site and found these insulators in an old shed that had fallen down. There are 31 - most of them are in perfect condition. The ones that look clear are actually a pale pink. I think there are more under the leaves. Can't wait to go back. I was so excited about the find I wanted to share.

Cool finds, looks like mostly CD154s. Looks like possibly a railroad dump. Are there tracks near by?

I've found insulators before but never that many in one spot and often there broken or damaged . usually they were found along old railways or hydro lines .

the bottles don't really look that old as there screwtop ,so maybe a 40's or 50's era dumpsite . if you didn't dig it up much , could still be other items there to find

Yes. I live in N FL and there are quite a few rr tracks here.

The bottles are all fairly modern. I think someone must have collected the insulators and forgot about them in the shed. I sure there will be more finds once I can clear the leaves. There's another shed on the site that I haven't explored yet.

Nice finds! I’ve only found one and it was cracked. A cd145 beehive I think they call it.
I like the way you have them cleaned up and on display already!!

Wow that's a lot! Since they're all in a shed it does sound like someone collected them and then left them there. Probably when they were decommissioning the telegraph lines since they all look like they're from the same era.
