Hello I am new here, I have a questions about a bottle, I am sorry for the poor quality of the photo, I will use a digital camera tomorrow, and upload more images of several bottles, I have inherited a old bottle collection but do not know anything about them.

The picture is blurry i know, but here is the the writting on the sides

on one side it says "Hires Improved Root beer"
another "Philadelphia PA U.S.A."
another "Manufactured by The Charles E Hires CO"
and the last "Makes five gallons of a delicious drink"

does anyone know any information about this bottle besides it makes rootbeer, or history, or the amount its worth? (Bottle about 41/2 - 5 inches tall. Thank you

Kris

Hello, Kris . . .

I just did a search of "completed items" auctions on eBay. There were 56 Hires bottles. I saw one extract bottle with original box and instruction sheet that sold for $7.49. Another with the original box did NOT get a bid at the $9.95 start price.

There is way more info on the www about Hires Root Beer than you are likely to get here. Try a web-search, then give us a report.
