Nice repro flask - but how nice ?

7 inches tall, 4 inches wide. not sure if pontil mark is real. very heavy for a flask this size. cornucopia design. Any info would be great, thanks.

Interesting bottle? Definitely not a Clevenger reproduction. The embossing is particularly well pronounced for a reproduction. Usually the glass for early flasks was blown thin and would have some whittling effect. Heavy often suggests a reproduction. Very similar to an authentic antique cornucopia flask I own. I'm not so sure your bottle is a reproduction? If old then the color would jack up the price a lot.

I collect Clevenger reproduction flasks and have their cornucopia flask. Your flask is nothing like the Clevenger. I also have an authentic early cornuopia flask and thickiness pf the g;ass and weight are not necessarily the bottom line in determining the age of bottles. Clarity of the embossing is a better measure of authenticity. Other than the Clevenger Glass Works there weren't many interested in reproducing hand blown bottles. Even the Clevengers didn't make much money doing it. Wheaton produced vast quantities of machine made reproductions but they shouldn't fool anyone.

I actually have 3 of these, different colors. The lighter colored one has mold marks on the lip which my phone camera can't pick up. The 2 darker ones have no discernible mold marks on the lip
