Yes, I know. My post wasn't directed at you or anyone in particular. Just posted it in case anyone at all misunderstands the purpose of the number. These threads will probably be archived and searchable via google for years to come.

Got it. I suppose I was surprised that an insulator collector would not know a little about AWG sizes.

That was a good addition to the thread for future readers. My first thought was that was the wire gauge, but when I found out the insulator was rated to 15KV I knew that was not the case. Thanks to everyone who weighed in
