An older gent was moving today and downsizing so I helped some and got some nest items today. My favorite is the large crucible. I’m working on a rare Union Pacific Standard Time clock also. He can’t come up with a price!

Some neat old stuff there.
That leg trap looks gigantic, I wonder what they would have been trying to catch with that. Roy

Hey Time in a Bottle,
Love the bee smoker and butter churn, among the other nice items, but the elephant in your truck bed is that crucible. Holy cow! ..Give that old gent another good day's work and I'll bet the clock price becomes reasonable. ;) Good luck.

..Roy,
That may be coyote/wolf trap. Too small, etc. for a bear.

I like the scythe, with skill you can cut your grass faster with that than with a lawnmower.

Yes, I was in Switz. and saw the locals using them! --However, they almost squatted (a lot of knee bending before the swing of the blade) in their cut. Folks in that country have contests using them. ..I'm sure their chiropractors are getting wealthy. :)

Saturday is the day I go back to help. Wish me luck on the clock. Those are mainly in museums.

Well, for the rest of the story: No clock-(I couldn’t afford it). However I just had to buy lunch in exchange for a 1919 Planet Junior, an antique saddle, and a 50 year old custom saddle horse.

T.I.B.,
Must have been a real good lunch. :) I've traded a couple of the Planet Juniors too. Their small wheel makes them different. Mine didn't have the name plate though. Somehow I sense an empty stomach, with a desire to carry less on the way home, in this later afternoon deal. Also, I believe both you and your customer were happy with it. --Try coming to CT for an antique American clock and a visit to the clock museum in Bristol. This state is antique clock ground zero of the USA! Can't get here anytime soon? Try looking at online Connecticut estate sales--there's always an antique clock or three!!!
