I came across this while searching ebay for Bitters bottle. This is actually a float for an early flush toilet.

That really is sort of funny Jay, by searching the patents he could have come up with it's actual use. That thing could easily be worth his asking price as the glass toilet balls are quite collectible. I once considered collecting them but couldn't find enough to interest me. When I collect something I use the motto: "Go Big or Go Home". Thanks for sharing.

I though about collecting battery jars at one time but you just dont see enough to make it interesting.
You have to have a lot of patience to collect esoteric items.

Good to have the Patrnt drawing, I have four different floats of different sizes. One is about the same as this one pictured. I know they work, because my Dad was a plumber. One of mine is about 3" long and made by Corning Glass. RED Matthews
