I found an odd colored green hobbleskirt Coke bottle at the show this weekend. No embossing except on the base and no ACL lettering. I haven't seen this type before. I'm thinking possibly a paper label bottle or possibly a prototype. Came from Bill Agee's collection, I'm pretty sure not altered in color. Anyone familiar with this?

The color is certainly attractive. Doesn't look super old but that may not deter collectors.

Nice "lime green" color. Possibly a paper lable ? Kinda reminds me of the no deposit-no return bottles. Date code puts it at 1979 production. Have you checked for dye-stain using concentrated acetone or a strong paint remover, and a "peel test" using a sharp exacto or razor blade ? If they pass those three tests, there is no artificial coloring or coating. I am really suspecting they are ACLs with the labeling removed after looking at them closely again.

Yes, that is certainly another possibility. Being from Oklahoma and Texas, they may have been something made only for that local territory. Sent you a PM through eBay.......
